Gemstones

We love to include gemstones in our pieces for both their aesthetic and healing properties.  These are some of the ones we like to use, including a description of their healing attributes.

Of course, being creative, we’re always looking for new and different stones to incorporate into our designs and will add them as we do.

Amethyst

Amethyst Stones

A stone of psychic power, enhancing & increasing the abilities of the bearer. Aids in increasing spiritual awareness & helps in the attainment of your spiritual goals. Wear amethyst to dispel fear & heighten intuitive powers. It aids in dreaming, dispelling nightmares, protection & helping to break bad habits. Called the “sobriety stone”.


 Black Onyx

Black Onyx

Onyx is known to separate. It can help release negative emotions such as sorrow and grief. It is used to end unhappy or bothersome relationships.  Onyx jewelry is worn to defend against negativity that is directed at you. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.  Fortifies self confidence and responsibility, Sharpens your senses, encourages a healthy egotism.


 Carnelian

Carnelian was once considered strictly the property of the noble class. People holding a high social status were often buried with this gem stone.   Carnelian is used for these benefits: gives energy, protects from bad vibrations, guards against poverty, helps give a sense of humor, calms the temper.  Carnelian is an energy booster. It helps the insecure person to find strength within them so they can come into their own. It is also said to increase the appetite.


Citrine

Citrine

Citrine has been called the “stone of the mind”.  Ancient cultures believed that placing a citrine on the forehead of an elder would increase his psychic power.  Citrine is known as the lucky “Merchants Stone”. If you are in any type of sales, just put a citrine in the cash drawer and watch what happens. Also used by healers to: increase self esteem, protect from the negative energy from someone else’s abuse, open the mind to new thoughts and promote clarity of thought.  Citrine is sometimes considered beneficial to the endocrine and digestive system – cleansing, purifying and eliminating poisons that have built up. Citrine is an excellent stone to calm and soothe distressed conditions. Some use it to help relieve depression, digestive problems (including constipation and diabetes). It will give joy and love to the owner.


 Coral

Coral

is a stone of organic origin. Coral can be used to reconnect with nature and its variety of wonders. Coral also attracts love and prosperity, particularly red coral, which is a stone of passion. Creativity and optimism are also qualities that coral brings out. Emotionally, coral brings inner peace, strength, and understanding of purpose.


Green Aventurine

Jadeis called “The Healer of the Heart & Soul”. It grounds emotionally, allowing thought free of fear, indecisiveness & anxiety. It also energizes, inspires, motivates. A stone for leaders, protectors, & counsellors. Stimulates healing, creativity, & good luck

 


 Garnet

Garnetis a stone of high vitality & energy, & lends vitality, strength, & sensuality. Given as a gift, garnet symbolizes true & never-ending love & devotion. Garnet releases one’s creative ability & inner fire.

 

 


Lapis Lazuli

iIMG_7147.JPGs the ‘Stone of Egypt’.  It is a powerful healing stone that brings inner power to the wearer & is often used as a protection stone for physical & psychic attacks. Heightens one’s awareness, insight & intellect – a good stone for helping to lift depression. Assists in communication, & helps to increase wisdom & gain knowledge. Used for growth & new beginnings, dreaming, women’s healing, insomnia.


New Jade

New Jadeis also called Serpentine. New Jade is considered a protective stone that is especially good against snakebite, poison, & venom. It is an excellent stone for meditation. It will help with emotional cleansing, psychic powers, & attract love and money. It also protects against negativity & helps to ground with earth energy


Opalite (Moonstone)

Opalite (Moonstone)is called the Stone of Sea & Fire. In healing it is believed to stabilize mood swings & purify the blood & kidneys. When placed on the Crown Chakra in meditation is said to enhance psychic abilities & induce visions. Used in meditation & for improving communication on all levels, especially the spiritual. Also noted to help in overcoming fatigue


 Pearl (Freshwater)

Pearls are calming & centering and give purity & promote faith, charity, integrity, truth & loyalty. Pearls attune the wearer to the ebb & flow of life.  Ancient legend says that pearls were thought to be the tears of the gods & the Greeks believed that wearing pearls would promote marital bliss & prevent newlywed women from crying. Traditional properties are innocence, focus, wisdom, spirituality, sincerity, & fertility.


Sodalite

Sodalitehelps eliminate confusion & stimulates the intellect. Helps one verbalize their true feelings, & encourages self-esteem & trust. Assists clear, logical thinking. Helps you identify your emotions, verbalize them, & see the truth in them. Encourages self-esteem

 


Tiger Eye

Many legends say that wearing Tigereye is beneficial for health & spiritual well-being. Helps keep you balanced, focused, centered & grounded. Uplifts your spirit in times of depression. Helps bring together scattered details & thoughts

 


Turquoise

Turquoiseabsorbs negativity, promotes honest & clear communication from the heart & is an excellent grounding stone. Good for healing the spirit & soul, it is known as a master healer stone.
